Big things coming up for the King-Lackey family! In less than 2 weeks I will be going back to work full time. Most likely at two jobs, one during the week and my ever steady overnight job at the group home. And, along with me going back to work, Cadence will also be going to daycare full time. I was nervous that it would be a bigger transition, and maybe it will still be a big deal, but I think she will do great. I have confidence in our day care provider being a great fit for our family.
Cadence is growing like a weed! She is on the edge of getting this crawling thing worked out. She will flip flop around from sitting to laying down to kneeling really quickly. Once she's on her knees though she just rocks back and forth, not really understanding that she needs to kick her knees forward to start crawling. Its getting harder and harder to keep our cords and non-baby items out of her reach as well. But its a learning curve, and we're keeping up!
Also, she has two teeny tiny teeth finally poking through her gums. They've been hovering just under the surface for awhile, literally visible through her gums. So much so that I thought they had already poked through before. Now that I've seen her pokey teeth I realize the difference. Along with new teeth comes new faces, new cries, and new coping techniques for said pain and crying.
Chris is doing great. He has been more or less consistently working since Christmas, which is great considering winter is a bit of a dry spell. He has joined forces (so to speak) with a realtor in Ottawa who will be referring him to her clients who would like work done. I suggested this to him awhile back, but without the realtor lead theres not much that can be done.
And thats the story for today ladies and gentlemen. Keep an eye open to read about Cadence's first day of daycare and my return to work. Should be exciting times!
